Elimination Diet

A certain form of diet routine also known as Elimination Diet is also sometimes very helpful in getting allergy relief. This is particularly helpful in getting relief from food allergy symptoms. In an Elimination Diet a particular food item which is suspected of causing allergic symptoms are totally removed from the patient’s diet for a specific period of time. It can range from five to six days to even two to three weeks depending upon the severity of the symptoms. When the body forms the habit of surviving without that item the item is again systematically introduced into the menu and the patient is carefully monitored for any symptoms.
