Almonds one of the top eight food allergen .Almond allergy symptoms appear when our immune system mistakenly takes some of the ingredient present in almond as harmful for the body. As a result antibodies are released to fight it which in turn gives rise to the allergic symptoms.

Allergic reaction to almond can be different in different individuals. In fact, in fact the reactions may differ in the same individual at different occurrences. Almond allergy symptoms are, in some rare cases; suddenly result in Anaphylaxis in some highly sensitive individuals. Anaphylaxis is a very severe allergic reaction which is also life threatening. Anaphylactic symptoms include

• Swelling of the airways to lungs resulting in the patient’s inability to breathe
• Rapid heartbeat
• Drop in blood pressure level
• Feeling of dizziness and light headedness
• Numbness in various limbs
• Fainting

These symptoms are very dangerous and needs medical attention as early as possible. If not treated at the right moment the patient may die also.
