Ragweed allergies are one of the most common seasonal allergies affecting people. When people who are sensitive to ragweed pollen inhale its allergens from air, the allergic symptoms may appear .Ragweed allergy symptoms usually appear during late summer and early autumnal season and can be quite severe when there has been an increase of rainfall during the spring. In some very rare cases it is seen that an individual who has asthma and is extremely sensitive to ragweed may develop a potentially dangerous condition called Anaphylaxis. Though rare in occurrence Anaphylaxis can do great herm to the sufferer can be fatal also. When Anaphylactic shock takes place there is swelling in lip, throat, tongue and other airways leading to the lungs. As a result there is a blockage and the victim is unable to breathe. There can be a sudden drop in blood pressure level accompanied by dizziness. In worst cases the victim may lose consciousness also. Hence when ragweed allergy symptoms take this form medical help should be sought immediately.
